Since I've been at college, I've noticed/developed a few quirks of things that I have to do the same way every time. Some of these are:
- I do the same routine each night before going to bed. This one is one that I'm proud of, because since I've gotten so habitual about it, I really don't miss a night for reading my scriptures or saying my prayer. Obviously, everything on this list (including this) has the occasional exception, but I'm generally pretty good.
- As part of my nightly routine, I floss my teeth and use mouthwash. I never really did either of these a lot when I was at home.
- Currently the mouthwash I use comes from a liter-sized bottle. That's huge!
- I don't always get up early enough to make my bed before I leave for class, but I usually have to make my bed sometime before I go to sleep. If the only time I have is a few minutes before I go to bed, I still make my bed just to make the sheets nice.
- I try to do push-ups each night.
- I'm a sock, sock, shoe, shoe person, left first.
- I always grab all three eating utensils when I eat at the Cannon Center. I don't usually use them all, but I hate to have to get up in the middle of my meal to go grab a utensil I could have already grabbed.
- I use at least one napkin at every meal. Often it's more than one, because I'm terrible at crumpling up my napkin for one little spill.
- I try to drink water or milk at the Cannon Center. Very rarely do I drink the sports or soft drinks.
- I really like dessert. I think I eat it way too often.
- I have to use a planner, which I never was very particular about before.
- I make lists of things to do, buy, etc. on any random scrap of paper that I find on my desk. I bought a little notebook specifically for these lists, but I often forget to use it and settle for any spare sheet I can find.
- I use lotion more than I've ever used before. It's so dry here! I have to use Suave Cocoa Butter with Shea because anything else smells too strong/gross, or is too greasy, etc.
Does anybody else relate to these specific things I have to do?
