Sickness seems to be common in this family, because I'm sick, too. My throat has been hurting when I wake up for about a week now, ceptin' it normally felt better after a while. Not any more. My throat hurts, I have had a cough and stuffy nose, my back and neck are really ache-y (:-D), I think I have a slight fever, I get a headache really often, and the other day I felt like I was about to faint for a while because I was so dizzy. No fun.
However, it is fun to have a lot of people home. I wish the Merkleys could be here, though.
I hope Santa brings good books to read, since I've long since read all the books we have worth reading at home. However, my sisters sure seem to enjoy the books I bought with the $72 I got to Barnes & Noble for my birthday. Whatev.

Senior Skit / Christmas
Jennifer is home, as she said that I need to update this. So, I guess I will. The only problem is I don't know what to write. Um, the annual Band Christmas party was yesterday. This is the one where the sophomores and seniors do their skits. Our skit was pretty stinkin' awesome, if I do say so myself. I heard that some people were laughing so hard they were almost in tears. Yay for us! :-D I had a practice for said skit at the time Jen flew in, so Mom picked her up alone. Then Mom went to the Fasken Christmas party, leaving Jennifer home alone. I came home for a while between the practice and the party to find Jennifer completely confused about which remote went to the TV and satellite. Mom misled her (Jen had to call Mom for "help") about which one it was. Hence, she was very glad when I came home and showed her that the remote she wanted was in Mom's room instead of the family room. Haha. Poor Jen, but it was really funny how much trouble she had been having with the TV. The Luthis in our ward are moving, so we got a new YW Presidency today (Sis. Luthi was the president). I'm sad that the Luthis are moving; they're a fun family. It's fun to have people's pictures up on the "Christmas card wall" and to look at all the cute kids and familiar faces. I love Christmastime! (So, if anyone wants to shed light on the subject for me, I can't seem to figure out how to do paragraphs in this thing. If I push tab, the cursor/selection box goes on to the next text box. If I push the space bar, the indents still don't show. So, if anyone knows....)

More sleep, less band ... please!
Today I had band rehearsal starting at 7:30. We rehearsed until first period was over (9:30), went to 2nd and 3rd periods, then went back to the band hall to play a "concert" thing for LFHS band kids who came over to Lee. I missed lunch period (they did feed us, though), had to take a calculus test, then had to go to a lesson halfway through Applied Music. I ate dinner in about 2 and a half minutes so I could rush off to .. what do you know?... more band rehearsal. I rehearsed from 6:30 to 9:00. Between this week being the last week of the six weeks (tests, galore) and next week leaving for Seattle, I've been pretty busy (and stressed!). I realized that I played my bassoon today for at least 2 hours longer than I got sleep last night. That's a bummer. I guess that's what I signed up for when I joined band, though.

MHS v. LHS
Friday night I had tons of fun at the Lee v. Midland High game. We won 35-26, and it was quite and evenly-matched game. I had fun loosing my voice from yelling so much. I got a little football thrown to me by a cheerleader (I've been trying to get something each game..teehee), but I stinkin' left it there. Bummer. I did pick up a carboard-type sign (after the game) that all the Lee fans had held up that said "Go Rebels," though. I had a great time.

Fun weekend
Well.. lemme see. I actually had a weekend off (well, aside from the game Friday night), and it felt really good! We won the game against OHS 51-14, so it was just about the complete opposite of any other game we've played this year. OHS must really be bad.. haha. I mowed the lawn on Saturday, and after Mom and I got some stuff done, we went shopping! (I know.. Mom happy to go shopping?!) We shopped for a long time.. at least longer than I've ever seen Mom be happy to do... and both found cute stuff. Mom said that it's gonna count toward Christmas, but it'd otay. :-) Then we went to Wendy's for dinner. We thought we'd go inside to avoid the long drive-through lane. Since we were only third in the line, we thought it'd be no big deal. Yeah right. We waited for 25 minutes before we even got up to the counter, and another 5 for our food. Lame-o. They were almost moving slow enough to go backwards! We came home and had fun watching "You've Got Mail." I wish I had pictures I could post; the Merkleys have such a cute blog with all their fun pictures. Have a great day!

Halloween is coming
Today at mutual I made a baptism binder for the primary to have. I realize now why I've never been so great at scrapbooking.... Tomorrow night is the Hauncert, and I'll be going as a princess. What else would a Phantom of the Opera dress be good for? :-) Time for Calculus!
